Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) Organized first ever Biryani Festival at President House, Islamabad in the history of Pakistan on 4th December, 2023. The said festival was graced by H.E. Dr. Arif Alvi, President of Pakistan and attended by large number of Dignitaries, Diplomats, YREP Social Activists, REAP Members from all over Pakistan. 16 types of Rice Dishes were served in Festival, made from World’s No 1 Basmati Rice grown in Fertile Soil of Pakistan. H.E. President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi appreciated REAP for promoting Pakistan Rice Globally to achieve Pakistan Rice Exports to 3 Billion US$. During the event, REAP's Journal prepared by Mian Sabih ur Rehman, MC Member REAP was presented to H.E. Dr Arfi Alvi. The said Rice Journal represents Pakistan’s Rice History to promote Pakistan Best Rice Globally. The said Festival was organized under the guidance of Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo, Ex-Chairman REAP & Convener, REAP’s Biryani Festival, Mr. Chela Ram Kewlani, Chairman REAP, Mr. Haseeb Ali Khan, Senior Vice Chairman REAP. Further, H.E. Dr. Arif Alvi applauded charity services of Mrs. Rashida Rahim Janoo and presented her Gold Medal and requested audience to follow her and First Lady Madam Samina Alvi to bring happiness to less privileged people of Pakistan. Secondly, role and services of Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo for growth of rice export sector from US$ 300 Million to US$3 Billion is exceptional. Such a remarkable growth has never seen in any other commodity in the history of Pakistan. Gold medals were also presented to Ex-Chairman REAP, Mr. Shahzad Ali Malik and young Social Activist, Mr. Jatin Chela Ram Kewlani.
